4% of Marketers Leverage GenAI Extensively

Gartner's survey of 418 marketing decision-makers found that while many believe generative AI (GenAI) will transform marketing, only a narrow majority are experimenting with it in moderation, with just 4% using it extensively. High-performing organizations are leading the way in GenAI adoption, primarily for content creation, planning, and strategy development to optimize campaigns. In contrast, tech laggards risk falling behind, while concerns about reliability have led some IT leaders to not use AI agents, as reported by The Wall Street Journal at its CIO Network Summit.
